Tip of the Week – Self Forgiveness

forgivenessPast research has shown that not forgiving ourselves contributes to depression, anxiety and weakened immunity. New research out of Baylor University suggests that it is easier to forgive yourself if you’ve made amends with others. The idea is that once we’ve addressed the situation with them it gives us the moral permission to forgive ourselves. If you are having difficulty showing yourself compassion try mending fences with the other person.
